March 2010 - Message from the UK Chapter President

Dear Members,

At our AGM on March 11th we will be reflecting on the many fine achievements of ISSA-UK in 2009 and our plans for 2010. In the UK we are fortunate in having a very strong team of both elected Board members in addition to other volunteer members who extend the Management team and help serve the chapter so well.

Our latest team member is Adrian Wright – Director of Projects who many of you will have met in the regional workshops held last year. We warmly welcome Adrian to the team and look forward to the new ideas and projects that will result.

We are also enormously grateful to members who have contributed to our activities in other ways:

 

• writing articles for the Journal
• mentoring younger members new to the profession
• taking part in working groups, expert panels and workshops
• contributing to research and white papers
• representing the organisation at events and with our Alliance partners

 

Highlighting some of the new opportunities below, I would encourage you to make the most of your membership and to contribute to the successful growth of the Chapter:

• InfoSecurity Europe - April 27-29 – represent us on the stand at the show for a 2 hour slot (also get a free ISSA-UK shirt!)

 

• Use your creative skills to write articles for publication in our newsletter, website and in the ISSA Journal
